Studying physics in Germany

Physics studies matter, energy, space and time. Matter is what everything is made of. A Master's in this subject lets you go deeper into one area. Examples are atoms and the tiny parts inside them, stars and planets, or how forces work in living things. Much of it is ideas, maths and research.

Many programmes want a first degree in physics and strong maths. Some end with a research project in a small team. Compare the areas each programme offers and read what you need to apply.
