About the programme
The Physics Master's at the University of Kassel lets you work with researchers on current questions in basic and applied physics. Main research topics at the Institute of Physics include light and matter interaction, quantum dynamics and control, nanostructures, laboratory astrophysics, magnetic layers and surface physics. A special research area on extreme light for analysing and controlling molecular chirality gives access to advanced tools in atomic, molecular and optical physics; in laboratory astrophysics you study exotic molecules found in interstellar space; in technical physics you work on semiconductor nanostructures for optical communication and quantum information. The programme is taught in English, lasts four semesters and starts in summer or winter.
