About the programme
Applied Physics is a four-semester Master of Science run jointly by the University of Koblenz and Hochschule Koblenz, with a joint degree at the end. Teaching is in German and English at the University of Koblenz and the RheinAhrCampus Remagen, with starts in the winter or the summer semester. The programme combines a scientific and an applied approach. A shared compulsory area gives you a broad technical and scientific base with a strong practical side. You then specialise in one of three fields: medical and sports medical technology, laser technology and optical technologies, or materials and interface physics. A wide choice of applied lecture modules, modern labs and the chance to join a research team round it off, and there is a mobility window for an optional semester abroad. It suits graduates in applied sciences, optics, medical technology or technical mathematics aiming for high-technology work or a doctorate.
