About the programme
The Master of Science in Physics at the University of Münster is a two-year, research-oriented programme taught in English, aimed at preparing you for independent work at the forefront of physics research or technical innovation in industry. It can also be taken as a double degree with the University of Seville in Spain. In the first year you build a personal profile by choosing two of the department's research areas: nuclear and particle physics, materials physics, nano and quantum technologies, nonlinear physics, photonics and magnonics, or the physics of solid state nanosystems. You add interdisciplinary studies, either a physics-related module such as geophysics or a subject such as mathematics, computer science, economics or philosophy; non-native speakers can choose German as a foreign language. The second year covers professional specialisation and project design, then your Master's project. You can start in winter or summer.
