About the programme

Solar System Physics is an English-taught Master of Science at TU Braunschweig, and the page describes it as the only programme of its kind in Germany. You study the physics of the solar system and prepare for a career in the aerospace industry or in exploring planetary bodies. The first year deepens your bachelor's knowledge of the physics and evolution of the solar system and its planetary bodies, with hands-on lab work, simulations and data analysis, then broadens into specialisations and interdisciplinary areas you choose. The second year is a research phase with a literature research module, a research internship and the master's thesis. The programme lasts four semesters and starts in winter or summer. It suits graduates in physics or a closely related field, and German is not needed.
