About the programme

The MSc Physics and Management at Ulm University is a two-year interdisciplinary programme worth 120 ECTS, taught in German and English, with a start in the winter or summer semester. Physics, mathematics, economics and computer science are closely intertwined, and physical and mathematical content makes up two thirds of the programme. Alongside an advanced laboratory course, you take a compulsory elective in econophysics, which uses statistical physics and non-linear dynamics to describe financial markets, plus a minor subject. On the business side you specialise in one or two areas such as technology and process management or corporate management and controlling, and you can add electives from any Master's programme at Ulm. You finish with a Master's thesis. Graduates can work at the interface between research, development and market implementation and qualify for management positions.
