About the programme
Physics, Engineering and Medicine is a Master of Science at the University of Oldenburg, taught in German and English. It takes 4 semesters, admission is free, and you can start in winter or summer. The programme combines practical, interdisciplinary skills from physics and electrical engineering with theory from medicine, biology and psychology. Its focus on hearing and speech research, neurophysics, neurotechnology and medicine gives you strong training in medical technology. The programme is linked to the Cluster of Excellence Hearing4all, so physics, medicine, acoustics and neuroscience work closely together, with early research contacts. It prepares you for a career as a scientist in medical research, industry or clinics, with a focus on medical technology, neuroscience or acoustics. Requirements include a degree in medical engineering, biomedical engineering or engineering physics, and English at B2. Applicants from outside Germany also need German at DSH-2 or TestDaF 4.
