Studying electrical engineering in Germany

Electrical engineering is about how electricity is made, moved and used, and how it carries information. A Master's in this subject can lead to work on power lines, electric cars, the small parts inside phones and computers, and phone and internet systems.

Many programmes let you choose one part, such as energy, small electric parts or computer and phone systems. Your first degree is often in electrical engineering or a related subject. Check which parts each programme offers, because they can be very different.
