About the programme
Design and Test for Integrated Circuits at TU Chemnitz is a four-semester, full-time Master's taught in English, with 120 ECTS and free admission. It offers a future-oriented education in designing, manufacturing and testing integrated circuits, combining design, technology, reliability and test for chip production. Foundation modules in the first two semesters include Design of Digital Systems, Test of Digital and Mixed-Signal Circuits, Elements of Integrated Circuits and Reliability of Micro and Nano Systems. You then specialise in Test and Reliability, Design and Technology, Integrated Circuit Applications or a cross-disciplinary track, and choose at least one practice-oriented module such as a research internship or Layout of ICs and PCBs. The fourth semester is the Master's thesis. Courses are taught by active researchers, and several industry research partners are involved. Studies generally start in the winter semester.
