About the programme
Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at HTW Dresden is a three-semester Master of Science worth 90 ECTS, taught in German and starting in the summer semester, full time or part time. It combines academic depth with an applied engineering focus. The first semester deepens theoretical foundations, the second covers compulsory and elective modules in your chosen field, and the third is for your thesis. Fields include electric drives and controls, electrical energy systems, process automation, process informatics, optical communications and radio systems, signal processing and audio-video technology, mechatronic systems and vehicle mechatronics. You learn to apply and develop scientific methods for planning and projects, and you take part from design and calculation to construction and the monitoring of plants and installations. It suits graduates aiming for research in institutes and company development departments, or leadership roles in companies such as computer and medical technology, communications, energy supply or media technology.
