About the programme

Mobile Robotics is an international, English-taught Master of Science at the University of Bonn, linked to the Center for Robotics and offered by the Institute of Geodesy and Geoinformation and the Institute for Computer Science. It is research-oriented: you learn to run your own projects, read and write papers and present your findings. You study the full pipeline from sensing and interpreting measurements to world modelling and generating actions, including high-precision sensing, computer vision, 3D reconstruction and semantic scene understanding, along with machine learning and AI for designing and programming smart robots. The programme builds on Bonn's tradition in probabilistic robotics and has links to the PhenoRob Cluster of Excellence and the Lamarr Institute for Machine Learning and AI. It lasts four semesters and starts in the winter semester.
