About the programme
Microelectronics Engineering is an English-taught specialisation of the Master of Science in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology at TU Braunschweig, and it is the only way to study this otherwise German-language programme in English. It gives a broad insight into quantum technologies, covering both silicon CMOS and gallium nitride-based microelectronics and photonics. TU Braunschweig runs the Nitride Technology Center together with Leibniz Universität Hannover and the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt, a hub for exchange between academia, start-ups and industry. The programme lasts four semesters, has a strong scientific focus, and includes a compulsory 10-week internship; stays abroad are voluntary. You can start in the winter or summer semester. It suits holders of a bachelor's or comparable degree.
