About the programme

Nanoelectronic Systems at TU Dresden is a four-semester Master of Science taught in English, starting in the winter semester, with part-time study over eight semesters possible. Ongoing miniaturisation in microelectronics has led to nanoelectronic systems, which are useful in many applications but increasingly complex to design and build. The programme focuses on three areas: technologies for nanoelectronic systems, their design, and their applications. Courses include estimation and detection, dependable systems, semiconductor technology, hardware/software codesign and radio frequency integrated circuits, plus electives such as materials for nanoelectronics and vacuum technology, memory technology, optoelectronics and molecular electronics. Practical training runs alongside the theory and prepares you for internships, project work and the Master's thesis, which can be written at companies or research institutes. A double degree is offered with KU Leuven in Belgium. It suits graduates who want to work on the technology and design of nanoelectronics.
