About the programme
Power and Microelectronics (Leistungs- und Mikroelektronik) is an MSc at Reutlingen University focused on the design of analogue integrated circuits and on power electronics, which are key to power supply from renewable energy and to electric mobility. It takes 3 or 4 semesters and can be studied full-time or as individual part-time study. A central part is a two-semester project lab in which all students work as a team to design and build a complete power or microelectronic system, including producing their own integrated circuit (microchip). Teaching mixes project work, seminar-style lectures and practice-oriented learning, and a study semester and the Master's thesis can be done abroad. It suits graduates in electrical engineering, electronics, mechatronics or a comparable field.
