Prerequisites
proof of a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, IT or a degree in another engineering or technological discipline at a German university with at least 210 ECTS credit points or the equivalent degree a foreign university.
note that all foreign applicants must submit their bachelor degree to Uni-Assist (https://my.uni-assist.de/ (opens in a new tab)) which verifies your eligibility and converts your grades to the German grade system. Uni-Assist will issue a so called preliminary inspection documentation (VPD), which you have to upload to the application portal (similar to your other documents).
Only applicants whose bachelor's degree is equivalent to a 210 ECTS bachelor's degree have access to the master's degree programs at the Technical University of Ingolstadt.
However, there are also courses that are only equivalent to a 180 ECTS bachelor's course. Experience has shown that this includes the degree programs of applicants from India, Pakistan, etc. The examination of whether an existing degree program is equivalent to a 180 ECTS or a 210 ECTS bachelor’s degree in Germany is carried out by uni-assist.
With a bachelor's degree that is equivalent to a German bachelor's degree with 180 ECTS, access to the master's degree at the Technical University of Ingolstadt is not possible.
However, the regulations of the Ingolstadt University of Applied Sciences stipulate that the 30 missing ECTS can be compensated for by providing evidence of practical experience of at least 20 weeks after completing a bachelor's degree. So please upload the corresponding proof in the upload area of the Technical University of Ingolstadt. If the status of the document changes to OK in the upload area, then the uploaded proof is sufficient.
