About the programme

Electrical and Information Engineering at Kiel University (CAU) is a single-subject Master's taught entirely in English, with 3 semesters and 90 credit points, 30 of them for the Master's thesis. Electrical engineering has become a general systems technology used in almost every technical field, and here all of your course content can be chosen to match your interests and abilities, with close support from the Faculty of Engineering. You can focus, for example, on digital information technology, automation and control engineering, communications, renewable energy, or power electronics from microsystems to high-power applications, the latter in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology ISIT. Mathematical and systems theory concepts give you a solid basis for interdisciplinary work. Admission requires language skills and an aptitude assessment.
