Studying architecture in Germany

Architecture is the study of how buildings and open spaces are planned and made. A Master's in this subject builds on your first degree. You work on design projects. You also learn how buildings use energy and how cities grow. You learn how to fix up old buildings so people can use them again.

Some programmes ask for a portfolio, which is a folder of your own design work. Some may also ask for a short design task. Read what each programme asks for early, because a good portfolio takes time to make.
