About the programme
Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering is an English-taught Master of Engineering at Hochschule Bremen that prepares you to work as an engineer in a prominent position in the maritime industry. It comes in two versions: a 3-semester, 90-credit programme starting in summer for applicants with 210 credits, and a 4-semester, 120-credit version starting in winter with a foundation semester, aimed at applicants with related engineering degrees and international students. The programme deepens engineering fundamentals with a strong focus on computer-based methods, adds a compulsory elective specialisation and an extensive team design project on real industry topics, and ends with the Master's thesis. Graduates find work in shipbuilding, the maritime supply industry, engineering offices, shipping companies and maritime research. It needs a relevant degree with a grade of 2.5 or better and English at B2.
