About the programme

The Architecture Master of Engineering at Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen (THM) in Giessen focuses on complex design and planning processes, with emphasis on sustainable building, urban design, innovative construction methods and interdisciplinary projects. Current building projects in the city feed into teaching, and you work on real tasks with municipalities, authorities, associations or private clients. Each semester you take on a major design project, choosing from three professors, across urban design, building design and building in existing structures, with excursions in Germany and abroad. The programme has 120 credit points over four semesters, is taught mainly in German, starts in winter or summer, and is accredited by ASIIN. After two years of practice it allows registration as an architect.
