About the programme
Architecture Typology is an English-taught Master of Science at TU Berlin, lasting four semesters with 120 credits and starting in the winter semester. Please note that the page says the programme will not admit students for the winter semester 2026/27. The compulsory part is worth 84 credits and includes three large design projects and the master's thesis; you add 24 credits of compulsory electives from a set list and 12 credits of free electives. After graduating, your work focuses on planning, design, construction and building types, and you need at least two years of professional work before you can join a German state's list of registered architects. It suits graduates in architecture; German helps because some modules are taught in German.

Prerequisites
Admission requirements
The formal admission requirement for the consecutive master’s program in Architecture Typology is a first university degree in architecture qualifying the applicant for professional work.
As the master’s program is taught in English, applicants must submit proof of English skills at CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) level C1. Knowledge of German is useful as some courses/modules are offered in German. However, this is not a condition for admission to studies.
You can find more information about the application, admission, and selection procedures in the application and admission regulations of the degree program (see the link "Study and examination regulations").
