About the programme

Landscape Architecture at TUM is a Master of Arts from the Faculty of Architecture, taught in German or English, so you can complete it in either language. It combines planning, artistic creativity and technical knowledge, with a broad theoretical foundation and a clear orientation towards professional practice. You develop your skills in the analytic, artistic and technical sides of designing open spaces and urban systems at different scales. The programme lasts 4 semesters, or 3 semesters with 90 ECTS for graduates of an eight-semester Bachelor's with an integrated internship. Teaching takes place in Munich and Weihenstephan (Freising), you can start in the winter or the summer semester, and admission is through an aptitude assessment. It builds on TUM's Bachelor in Landscape Architecture and Landscape Planning and is open to graduates of equivalent programmes at other universities.
