Prerequisites

Entry requirements for the Master's program in Arabic Studies:

A university degree in the humanities, cultural studies or social sciences. You must show at least 15 ECTS credits in Oriental Studies and at least 40 ECTS credits of Arabic language skills.

Information for international students: the language of instruction is mainly German. You need German at level B2 or higher (CEFR) to be admitted.

School leaving certificate and list of individual grades (university entrance qualification), with German or English translation

University entrance examination (only in certain countries) or other proof of the requirements for university admission, with German or English translation

University degree certificate. Applicants with a foreign degree must already have it when they apply.

University transcript with all courses and exams, with German or English translation. It must show at least 15 ECTS credits in Oriental Studies and at least 40 ECTS credits of Arabic.

Proof of German at level B2 (a degree in German studies does not count)

Passport or identity card

APS certificate (degrees from China, India, Mongolia, Vietnam): upload the digitally signed original file from the APS, unchanged
