About the programme
Anglophone Studies at Justus Liebig University Giessen is a Master's of 4 semesters and 120 credit points, with all courses taught in English, and you can start in the winter (October) or the summer semester (April). It builds advanced linguistic, literary and cultural knowledge, didactic knowledge and skills, and strong academic methods, so you can work critically with models and theories and plan and carry out your own academic projects. You combine one major and one minor subject, studied side by side, from options such as Anglophone Literary, Cultural and Media Studies and English Linguistics, and write your thesis in the major at the end. Teaching English as a Foreign Language is not available as a minor. Requirements include English at C1 level, proven before registration.
