No tuition fees for most programmes
Public universities in Rhineland-Palatinate do not charge tuition fees for consecutive Bachelor's and Master's programmes, for EU and non-EU students alike. You also pay a semester contribution (Semesterbeitrag) of roughly 70 to 460 EUR, set by each university, which often includes a public transport pass. Continuing-education and executive Master's programmes, which usually require work experience, can charge fees even at public universities, and private universities set their own fees, so check University of Trier's fee page for its exact fees.
