About the programme

Educational Science (Pedagogy and Educational Theory) is a German-taught Master of Arts at the University of Oldenburg. It takes 4 semesters full-time, part-time study is possible, admission is limited and you can start only in the winter semester. The programme is technical and research-oriented, with specialisations in diversity-aware social work, lifelong learning and education management, and migration and education. You gain the theory and research skills to plan, organise and evaluate educational interventions and processes. A particular strength is the research-oriented look at heterogeneity and difference in society, such as gender and ethno-cultural diversity, and what they mean for education. You can combine areas to build your own career profile. Requirements include a Bachelor's in pedagogy or educational science, or a closely related field with at least 60 credits in the subject. Applicants from outside Germany also need German at DSH-2 or TestDaF 4.
