About the programme

International Studies in Intellectual Property Law and Data Law at TU Dresden is a one-year, full-time Master of Laws (LL.M.) worth 60 ECTS over two semesters. It is taught in English (in French at the Strasbourg partner), and you start on 1 October or 1 April. You study at TU Dresden, or at TU Dresden plus a partner university. The programme gives you practice-oriented expertise in intellectual property law, especially copyright, data law, trade mark and design law, and patent law, with attention to legal questions raised by new technologies, multimedia and the internet. It also lets you build foreign language skills and legal terminology. About 60 students a year from roughly 20 countries take part, and you can exchange ideas with scholars, attorneys and in-house counsel who work in intellectual property. It suits law graduates who want to specialise in intellectual property and data law in an international setting.
