About the programme

The Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Tax Law (Steuerrecht) at Rheinische Hochschule Köln (RH Köln) is a part-time, blended learning programme, either three semesters with 90 credit points or four semesters with 120 credit points including a practical semester, with a start in the summer or winter semester. It prepares you thoroughly for the challenges of tax advisory work, with an emphasis on sound legal knowledge. Most modules cover the content of the German tax adviser exam, though the programme does not replace an exam preparation course. You study commercial and tax balance sheet law and general tax and procedural law, special and international tax law, complex company restructurings, optimising the tax burden of companies and individuals, and practice-oriented application in real cases. Graduates can work in tax advisory firms, auditing, corporate finance departments or the public service.
