About the programme
Social Law and Social Economy is a German-taught Master of Laws (LL.M.) run by the University of Kassel together with Fulda University of Applied Sciences; you enrol at Kassel. It takes 3 semesters on campus, and you can start in winter or summer. The programme blends law, business and social sciences to build legal, economic and socio-educational problem-solving and leadership skills. Many lecturers are judges at the Federal Social Court in Kassel or come from social services. Modules do not build on each other, so you choose your own order. It suits graduates in social law, social work or economic law with a grade of at least 2.5, or law graduates after the state examination, who aim for strategic and operational roles in social economy, public and welfare organisations. International applicants need German at B2 to apply and C1 by the end of the first semester.
