About the programme

Economics is a full-time, English-taught M.Sc. at Trier University over 4 semesters, with no numerus clausus and entry in the winter or summer semester. It combines application- and research-oriented courses with a special emphasis on empirical methods, built on thorough training in economic theory and econometrics. Compulsory modules introduce advanced macro- and microeconomics and academic research. In the second and third semesters you shape your profile through specialisation modules, and 30 credits in one area appear on your certificate, plus flexible electives that can include business, political science or sociology courses. You can add company internships, spend one or two semesters abroad, or take a double Master's with the University of Warsaw or the University of Bergamo. It suits economics graduates with a grade of 2.9 or better.
