About the programme

The MSc in Applied Geoinformatics at Trier University focuses on applying remote sensing methods and geospatial and visualisation technologies. It runs for four semesters (two years) with 120 credits, made up of ten required core courses and six to eight electives, for example in remote sensing methods, survey statistics or database technologies, and it ends with a scientific master project that you defend. About 80% of teaching is in English, with some optional courses only in German, and no German test is required. International (non-EU) students can start only in the winter semester, in October. It suits graduates of a geoinformatics or similar Bachelor's with a German grade of 3.0 or better and English such as TOEFL iBT 80.
