About the programme
Health Sciences (Gesundheitswissenschaften) at West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau is a full-time Master of Science taught in German, lasting four semesters (120 ECTS) and starting in the winter semester. Health sciences is an interdisciplinary field that looks at health and illness from physical, mental and social angles and at how health is linked across systems. You study health systems and health services research, along with national and international developments in health policy and health economics. You also work with complex statistical methods, learn strategic management techniques and train your communication and decision-making skills. Goals include in-depth knowledge of health systems and care models in an international context, designing connected care structures, using methods such as meta-analyses and evidence-based research, and making scientifically grounded and ethically sound decisions. It suits graduates aiming for leadership roles in hospitals and care institutions, organisational consulting, or evaluation.
