About the programme
Agricultural and Food Economics (AFECO) is an English-taught, international Master of Science at the University of Bonn. It asks how a competitive and sustainable agri-food sector can help preserve natural resources in the face of a growing population, land use conflicts, changing consumer behaviour and climate change. You learn to analyse and develop economic activities and the related policies along the whole food value chain, from farming to processing, trade and consumption. AFECO is linked to two international double degree programmes: BOWACO with Wageningen University and AFEPA with partners in Belgium, Italy and Sweden. It lasts four semesters and starts in the winter or summer semester. It suits graduates with a background in economics.
