About the programme
Social Sciences is an English-taught Master of Arts at the University of Oldenburg. It takes 4 semesters. The programme has a broad social science profile built around one theme across all modules: organisations, which shape education, health, culture, politics and the economy. It draws equally on sociology and political science. Compulsory modules cover the theory of organisational research, organisations in politics and society, and knowledge and learning in organisations, plus thorough training in qualitative and quantitative methods. Electives let you build your own profile. Teaching uses lectures, seminars, colloquia and exercises in small groups, with close contact to instructors, and English teaching helps you build intercultural skills for business or academia. Requirements include a Bachelor's in social sciences, sociology, political science or an equivalent subject.
