About the programme

The MBA in Health Management (Gesundheitsmanagement) at Universität Hamburg is a part-time programme for graduates already working in health care and social welfare, at institutions, government bodies or companies. It builds the specialist, leadership and method skills you need to take on executive roles. Teaching combines weekend classes on site with live online sessions, so you can join wherever you are, and your own work experience is built into the content. You get continuous support and an online learning platform, and you write your thesis after the third semester. The programme lasts three semesters, is taught in German and starts in summer.

Prerequisites

Application requirements:

  • at least eight semesters of a relevant degree (medicine, psychology, education, health sciences, nursing, ecotrophology, sports science, etc.) and at least one year of relevant professional experience, OR
  • a degree lasting at least three years and at least one year of professional experience relevant to that qualification in a social and/or health-related field as well as proof of credit points in the required area of the social and health management (or a comparable) program.

In the case of a first university degree with less than 210 ECTS or a lack of practical professional experience, admission can be granted by the selection committee as part of a case-by-case examination according to the study regulations.
