About the programme
European Economic Studies (EES) is a Master of Science at the University of Bamberg focused on understanding international economic structures, other cultures and foreign languages, with an emphasis on interdisciplinarity with the social sciences. You develop your own academic profile through flexible choices, an international outlook and a behavioural economics profile. Economics here examines macroeconomic structures such as economic and industrial policy, globalisation and financial markets, and education and labour markets, using mathematical and statistical methods. The curriculum includes training in one required foreign business language, with a second optional, and electives in fields such as business administration, political science, sociology or law. It has 120 ECTS over four semesters, can be studied full or part time, starts in winter or summer, and is taught in English. A few electives from other institutes are offered in German.
