Prerequisites

You need a six-semester university degree (180 ECTS) with a final grade of 2.5 or better on the German scale. The degree must be in psychology, educational science, sociology or another subject that is relevant for educational research. You also need knowledge from at least 5 ECTS of modules with an empirical educational focus and at least 9 ECTS of quantitative empirical methods in the social or educational sciences. You may start before your degree certificate is ready if you hand it in by the end of the first semester. The method and empirical education modules must be proven by the end of the second semester. The programme starts in the winter semester only and is mostly taught in German, so you need German at level B2.
