About the programme
Applied Biotechnology and Food Science is an English-taught M.Sc. at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences over 3 semesters, starting in the summer semester with 24 places, and it can be studied alongside work. It combines biotechnology and food technology, two fields that shape environmental technology, medicine, bio-based raw materials, food quality and safety, and sustainable, resource-saving production. In the first semester you deepen your knowledge of food and biotechnology and update your skills in technology, analytics and project management. The second semester is a team project semester, taking a scientific project from proposal to presentation at a scientific conference that the students organise themselves. The third semester is the Master's thesis and colloquium, which you can write at a company in Germany or abroad. You need a related Bachelor's and English at B2.
