About the programme
Ethik, Lehramt an beruflichen Schulen is a Master of Education at TU Darmstadt, taught in German over 4 semesters, with entry in the winter or summer semester. It is the second half of a teacher-training route: together with the matching Bachelor of Education, it counts as the first state examination in Hesse, which you need for teaching practice and the teaching profession at vocational schools. The curriculum covers ethics, subject-specific teaching methods and a compulsory elective area in your vocational specialisation, supported by educational studies and practical classroom training. You also need a 12-month subject-related internship or matching vocational training. It suits Bachelor of Education graduates with the same subject combination who want to teach ethics at vocational schools or work in vocational training.
