About the programme
Public Health at Bielefeld University is a four-semester Master of Science worth 120 credit points, starting in the winter semester. It is research-oriented, multidisciplinary and career-focused. You gain subject knowledge and analytical and methodological skills across public health, for example in health policy reform, the development of health and care systems, and health psychology and sociology. After a shared base covering the main fields and ways of working in the health sciences, you go deeper in one of two profiles: interdisciplinary content and approaches from the classic public health disciplines, or international perspectives of public health. It suits graduates aiming for research and teaching at universities, project work in public health administration, roles at social insurers, workplace health management in companies and social institutions, or work with international organisations.
