About the programme

Financial Accounting, Controlling & Taxation (FACT) at West Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau is a full-time Master of Science taught in German and English, lasting four semesters (120 ECTS) and starting in the winter semester. Alongside scientific knowledge and methods, it teaches the practical skills needed for work in accounting and tax. You build broad knowledge of accounting and finance and learn how changes in society and the environment, such as digitalisation and corporate social responsibility, affect future company development and regulation. Business games and case studies run regularly with practice partners let you apply your knowledge to real questions, and you also learn DATEV and SAP. By the end you can evaluate the economic effects of complex accounting and tax decisions in advance and design business processes efficiently. It suits graduates aiming for commercial roles in medium-sized and listed companies.
