About the programme
Hydrology and Water Management (Gewässerkunde und Wasserwirtschaft) at the University of Koblenz is a four-semester Master of Science taught in German and English, on campus, with starts in the winter or the summer semester. It is offered together with Hochschule Koblenz and the German Federal Institute of Hydrology (BfG). The programme trains specialists for the water sector. You learn environmental data analysis and the simulation of hydrological systems, work on microbial and ecotoxicological questions, study the ecology of aquatic systems and gain engineering expertise in hydraulic engineering. You also deepen your knowledge of water-related environmental analysis, hydraulic planning processes, the legal basics and construction measures in water management. A semester abroad is possible after agreement with the examination board. It suits science or engineering graduates who want to work in environmental research, public authorities, companies or engineering and consulting offices, or go on to a doctorate.
