Application procedure
Selection process
In order to apply to study at a German university as a foreign student (i.e. if you have not obtained the requisite formal qualifications in Germany), you must fill in the "Application for Admission for Foreign University Applicants" (Antrag auf Zulassung für ausländische Studienbewerber/-innen).
This application for admission provides the basis for the university to check whether you fulfil the academic and linguistic conditions to be offered a place on a degree course. For that reason, all details of your educational background are important. Please fill in the application form in as much detail and as completely as possible. This will increase your chances of being accepted on a degree course. Many applications fail because formal details are incomplete, imprecise, incorrect or simply not provided at all.
