About the programme
English and American Studies is an English-taught Master of Arts at the University of Augsburg over 4 semesters, with open admission and entry in the winter or summer semester. It combines Anglophone world literatures, linguistics, media, performance and popular culture studies, and teaching English, with a major in linguistics or Anglophone world literatures and a minor in popular culture studies, teaching English, linguistics or literary studies. You build high-level spoken and written English, intercultural competence and skills in analysing socio-cultural phenomena. A compulsory 10-credit practical component through internships prepares you for work, and a semester abroad is encouraged. It ends with a Master's thesis. You need a related Bachelor's, English at C1 or C2 and German at A1.
