About the programme
Wind Energy Technology (Windenergietechnik) at Hochschule Bremerhaven is a three-semester Master of Science that teaches you to understand wind energy as a complete system. Courses cover the individual parts of wind turbines, from rotors, drive trains and operational management to tower and foundation structures, plus wind farm planning, operation and management. You apply theory directly in practical exercises and lab work, and a project across both semesters builds teamwork and time management. The third semester starts with a nine-week professional practice phase at a company or research institution, often followed directly by the thesis. The programme is an industry initiative, you study in small groups in direct contact with lecturers, and you can start in the winter or the summer semester. Requirements include a technical Bachelor's with 210 credits, English at B1 and, as a foreign student, German at C1.
