About the programme

The MSc in Sustainable Food is a two-year, full-time TUM programme taught in English in Singapore through TUM Asia, with 4 semesters and 120 credits and one intake a year, starting in August. It focuses on food safety, food science and food technology, with a holistic approach to building the scientific knowledge and skills needed for systemic change across the global food system. The programme aims to nurture future leaders in the agri-food industry who develop policy-level strategies to integrate a fragmented and complex food system. The curriculum spans several scientific and management disciplines, building analytical skills and critical thinking alongside concepts and techniques in food safety and food technology. Teaching is by TUM academics who are well versed in current research trends. Students are encouraged to think critically, solve problems and set new ethical standards for structural change in today's food system.
