About the programme

AgriFood Economics, Policy and Regulation at TUM is a full-time, four-semester Master of Science with 120 ECTS on the Weihenstephan (Freising) campus, starting in the winter semester (October), with English as the required language. It combines agricultural knowledge of technology and ecology with economics and political science to tackle key challenges in the agri-food sector. Sustainable production of high-quality food has to be balanced with economic interests and food security for a growing population, while climate change, biodiversity loss, debate over new technologies, and international markets and policy add pressure. In the first semester you take four compulsory subjects that lay the basis in economics, political science, ecology and technology. Graduates link economics, politics, technology and ecology to understand complex agricultural systems. Requirements include a qualified Bachelor's of at least six semesters, for example in agricultural and horticultural sciences.
