About the programme
Usability Engineering is an English-taught Master of Science at Rhine-Waal University of Applied Sciences on the Kamp-Lintfort campus, for people who want to make products easier to use. It brings together psychology, design, technology and management so you can make apps and devices intuitive and integrate user-centred development methods into a company's structures. In the first two semesters you study human-computer interaction, psychology, and methods for analysis and visualisation through lectures, seminars and hands-on sessions, along with strategic management, usability consulting and communication. In the third semester you write your master's thesis under a professor's supervision, where possible with a company. The programme runs full time for three semesters and starts on 1 September or 1 March. It is designed for computer scientists, psychologists and designers with experience in software development who want to specialise in usability engineering.
