About the programme

Applied Psychology: Diagnostics, Counselling and Training at Bielefeld University is a four-semester Master of Science worth 120 credit points, starting in the winter semester. It gives future psychologists subject, methods and practical training for a wide range of work in organisations and education, or for further academic qualification. The programme combines two applied fields: educational psychology and work and organisational psychology. You gain current knowledge in educational psychology, social psychology and work and organisational psychology, plus advanced methodological and psychometric foundations of psychological assessment, and you deepen the theory, construction and use of psychological tests. You plan and run practice-based or research projects on your own and evaluate, present and discuss the results, and you build methods skills such as computer-based data collection and data analysis. It suits future psychologists heading for assessment, counselling and training roles.
