About the programme
The single-subject Master's in Agricultural Sciences (Agrarwissenschaften) at Kiel University (CAU) runs for 4 semesters at the Faculty of Agricultural and Nutritional Sciences. It looks at how food and its raw materials can be produced in ways that are ecological, economical and high in quality. Along the whole value chain from production to consumption, you gain in-depth knowledge from the natural and technical sciences as well as economics and the social sciences, always with environmentally sound land use in mind. You specialise for three semesters in crop sciences, livestock sciences, agricultural economics, agribusiness or environmental sciences, while also learning how the fields connect. The university's three experimental farms let you build practical skills in both organic and conventional farming.

The prerequisite for admission to the Master's degree programme is a completed Bachelor's degree in agricultural sciences or an equivalent degree.Admission requirements are a first academic degree (e.g. Bachelor's or Diploma) with a grade of good (2.5)
