About the programme

Beverage Technology at Justus Liebig University Giessen is a Master's of 4 semesters and 120 credit points offered with Hochschule Geisenheim University, and you can start in Giessen or Geisenheim, in the winter or the summer semester, with a winter start strongly recommended. Teaching is in German. It trains you to solve beverage technology problems in industry: developing new plants and machines, planning production plants and investments, and driving product and process development. Because special beverage ingredients are sensitive to outside factors, you also learn their occurrence, effects, analysis and quality control. You spend one semester at each university for the core modules, and one semester is a mobility window of profile modules, which also teach economic skills. Graduates can work in control and monitoring authorities, lead specialist departments in ministries or go on to a doctorate.
